Smart Doorbell

I've been doing a few of these the past three or four years.

They're very popular and it's easy to see why. While they may not have to coverage and functionality of a full cctv install they are a cheap and easy to install alternative.

They are great as a video doorbell and if you pay a small monthly fee, you can access past events like you can with a cctv recorder. I've installed 3 brands of these and can recommend Ring Doorbells as they are the market leader you can be assured that they'll keep on top of the software updates.

This Simplisafe seems good also. The customer wanted this brand to tie in with his Simplisafe burglar alarm.

I haven't yet done a Nest one but as they are owned by Google you can bet they're good also and they'll keep on top of the updates.

I have installed a no-name brand one and it only worked for half an hour until it updated it's software and wouldn't work again. So i do advise against cheaper alternatives.
