Down Lights
Electrician's Diary - Mirfield

Lots and lots of downlights.
The trick here is to very carefully map out where they're going to go before you start throwing the wires in.
They want to be space evenly and be lined up straight as a laser (actually using a laser nowadays) and your map has to be accurate cos there's no visible clues after you've wired and everything has been boarded over, skimmed and painted.
The last thing you want to be doing is having to be patching up cos you've hit a joist with your holesaw.
Pleased with this job, nearly 50 spotlights and never hit a joist once.
