Rat Damaged Wiring

Fortunately i don't come across this often. Got a call from someone who's upstairs lights had gone off.

After a bit of rustling around in a particularly filthy loft space (check out the colour of my hands!) i found that Mr Rat had paid a visit.

When i showed the customer she informed me that next door had had a rodent problem after they had scaffolding put up one side of the house that backed onto a wooded area and they'd got into their loft that way after climbing up it.

The scaffolding had only been up two days whgich was plenty of time for Mr Rat, an expert climber who had since moved on. Unfortunately it meant i had to rewire all the lighting wiring that was in the loftspace.

Very unlucky for my customer for that to happen, in my 33 years of sparkying, i've only seen that once before. Still, could have been worse, i could have had to dispose of one fried rat. Fortunately for me and fortunatelier for Mr Rat, he got away unscathed to gnaw again another day.
